Job summary

EPAM Systems in Poland seeks a Technical Manager / Dev Team Lead to build SAP Business Network solutions from the ground up. You will lead a SAP BTP, CAP Java, and Fiori development team while guiding product lifecycle from concept to deployment in a cloud-based environment.

You will influence technical decisions, promote engineering excellence, and collaborate with architects, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable software that drives business impact.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of web-based application development with team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
• Hands-on experience with API-first development using REST, GraphQL, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Practical SAP Fiori development experience including SAPUI5, OData, and CAP CDS.
• Advanced knowledge of Java Spring Boot and web services development.
• Experience with SAP HANA databases.
• Familiar with modern DevOps tools and cloud platforms, and Jira for tracking.

Responsibilities

• Guide the team in analyzing, investigating, and resolving production issues, customer requests, and technical challenges.
• Prioritize and manage multiple production incidents and customer requests across various sources while delegating tasks effectively.
• Contribute to technical decision-making, architecture discussions, and solution design activities.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize development processes, tools, and delivery practices.

You will collaborate closely with architects, product managers, and cross-functional teams to transform complex requirements into scalable, high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities

• Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize development processes, tools, and delivery practices

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in developing web-based applications, including experience leading or coordinating development teams
• Strong knowledge of design patterns, algorithms, and data structures
• Hands-on experience designing and developing web APIs using API-first principles, including REST, GraphQL, and Swagger/OpenAPI
• Practical experience with SAP Fiori development, including SAPUI5, OData, and CAP CDS
• Advanced knowledge of Java Spring Boot and web service development
• Experience working with SAP HANA databases
• Experience using modern development and DevOps tools, including GitHub, Jenkins, Selenium, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Puppet, and Chef
• Understanding of deployment environments, application configuration, and change management processes
• Ability to work confidently with relational database management systems
• Ability to apply Agile development practices using version control platforms such as Git, GitHub, or GitLab
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience using project and issue tracking tools such as Jira for defect management and delivery coordination
