Job summary

EPAM Systems in Poland seeks an SAP Java Team Lead to design and deliver cloud-driven SAP solutions for global clients. You will work with SAP technologies, Java, Spring Boot, and modern cloud-native patterns to build scalable, robust applications.

Qualifications

• Several years of SAP expertise with strong knowledge of SAP technologies (BTP, ABAP, Fiori/HANA, SAPUI5, ERP/S/4HANA)
• Solid understanding of cloud-native solutions within SAP ecosystem
• Strong background in Java and Spring Boot for scalable apps
• Experience with microservices and event-driven design
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps (CI/CD)
• Customer-oriented mindset and ability to work independently or in a team
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client projects
• Good communication and presentation skills in English; German is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable solutions using SAP and cloud technologies
• Contribute to end-to-end implementation of SAP systems, including integrations and extensions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with client needs
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and actionable development tasks
• Ensure best practices in software development, including performance, security, and maintainability
• Support continuous improvement through Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• Engage with clients to provide technical guidance and build strong working relationships
• Participate in knowledge sharing and contribute to the team's technical growth

Requirements

• Several years of experience as an SAP expert with strong knowledge of technologies such as BTP, ABAP, Fiori, HANA, Integration, OData, SAPUI5, ERP, Java, and S/4HANA
• Solid understanding of modern cloud-native solutions within and beyond the SAP ecosystem
• Expertise in ERP and/or S/4HANA with a good grasp of end-to-end business processes
• Strong background in Java and Spring Boot, focused on building scalable and robust applications
• Familiarity with microservices architectures and event-driven design principles
• Comfortable working in Agile environments with practical DevOps knowledge (CI/CD, automation)
• Customer-oriented mindset combined with the ability to work independently and within a team
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client projects
• Strong communication and presentation skills in English; knowledge of German is considered a plus

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Knowledge of SAP BTP, CAP, Fiori, or UI5 is considered a plus, with opportunities to upskill
• Exposure to additional SAP products
