Job summary

ABB is seeking an MO ERP IS Program Manager to design, implement, and maintain the SAP-based service framework, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and alignment with customer expectations.

You will lead multi-functional teams, manage vendor relationships, and drive service improvements while adhering to ABB IS policies. Hybrid work in Bangalore or Poland may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of SAP functional and technical design in Production Planning, Material Management, Warehouse Management and Variant Configuration.
• Hands-on configuration experience in SAP ECC and S4 HANA private edition for listed modules.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain the framework to deliver the services in scope, on time, within budget, and in line with the customer’s expectations.
• Ensures hands-on involvement in operations within the service area, responsible to create effort, time, and cost estimates for demand requests and ensures targets are met.
• Attends regular review meetings to manage service and plans improvements; manages SLA/OLA to increase transparency and performance.
• Ensures work complies with ABB IS policies and guidelines and related regulations.
• Manages multiple global vendor contracts; responsible for CAB decisions and changes; supports IS service delivery processes.
• Supports service delivery strategy and builds relationships within the team; provides escalation support when needed.

Roles & Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

• Responsible to design, implement and maintain the framework to deliver the services in scope, on time, within budget, and in line with the customer’s expectations.
• Ensures hands‑on involvement in operations within the service area, responsible to create effort, time, and cost estimates for demand requests (projects, solutions, deployments, and handover to operational vendor), and ensures that the service reaches its targets with the increase in performance year after year. Manages the business/customer/consumer expectations for the service in scope. Serves as the escalation point in case of a severe problem in the service and works with the service line to get the service back on track.
• Attends all regular internal and external review meetings to ensure service is properly managed. Determines, prioritizes, and plans the implementation of service improvements for better service management. Accountable for creating and managing Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Operational Level Agreements (OLA) in order to increase transparency between the service provider and the Service Owner, and to provide feedback about the service’s performance, availability, capacity, etc.
• Ensures work in the delivery department is compliant with corporate IS, any other applicable ABB regulations (internal and external) and guidelines, and especially ABB IS guidelines and directives that deals with IS service delivery.
• Manages multiple third‑party global vendor contracts to assure high service quality and optimize the cost. Accountable for the Change Advisory Board (CAB), decides on the execution of changes in service(s) and application(s). Responsible to support all internal IS and cross‑functional processes related to IS service delivery or IS service demand in the relevant service area of responsibility.
• Supports processes that foster service improvement. Responsible to implement the service delivery strategy and plan for assigned service(s). Sets the example for proactively building working relationships within the team, acts as an escalation point for staff, and ensures relationship challenges are addressed.

Mandatory Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of SAP functional and technical design in the SAP modules: Production Planning, Material Management, Warehouse Management and Variant Configuration (knowledge of PDR functionality would be a plus).
• Proven hands‑on experience in configuration of SAP ECC and S4 HANA private edition for the listed modules and functionality.

• Manages in their area of responsibility through sub‑managers, small teams, and/or senior individuals and determines and delegates management responsibilities.
• Provides coaching and support, mentors, and influences senior individuals in consideration of their career opportunities and contribution to the organization.
• Ensures (with HR Manager support) their own area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed.
• Leads on formal processes such as compensation negotiations and disciplinary procedures. Manages many senior stakeholders to define solutions and ensure alignment and serves as the escalation point for issue resolution.
• Ensures that all stakeholders adhere to the strategic management approach and timetables through effective communication of information to achieve understanding and support. Manages a large number of stakeholders.
