Job summary

Nigel Frank International is seeking a Product Configuration Expert for SAP MDG to join a global data management team. You will design, implement and improve Master Data Governance solutions focusing on Material and Finance data within SAP MDG/S/4HANA.

The role combines hands-on SAP MDG configuration with technical leadership, collaborating with business, IT and vendors to deliver data governance across the organisation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with SAP master data and data quality management.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP MDG and SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with MDG configuration, including Governance Models, BRF+ and rule-based workflows.
• Good understanding of Material and Finance master data objects.

Responsibilities

• Work with business stakeholders and Architects to define technical solutions for SAP MDG.
• Configure and customise SAP MDG including governance models, rule-based workflows and BRF+.
• Work with Material and Finance master data objects, including data quality, validation and migration activities.
• Define and support inbound and outbound replication models, SOA services and BAdIs.
• Configure and extend MDG workflows covering validation, derivation, approval and change management processes.
• Prepare technical and functional documentation including BPD, FDD and TSD.
• Support development, integrations, testing, debugging and troubleshooting of SAP MDG solutions.
• Work across SAP and non-SAP systems to resolve data and integration issues.
• Support data migration, cutover and end-to-end integration testing activities.
• Work with SAP MDG/ABAP developers and data engineers to ensure standards.
• Contribute to data governance and master data management practices across the organisation.

We are looking for a Product Configuration Expert – SAP MDG to join a global Data Management team within a large international organisation. The role combines hands‑on SAP MDG configuration with technical leadership and close cooperation with business, IT teams and external vendors.

You will be involved in designing, implementing and improving Master Data Governance solutions, with a particular focus on Material and Finance master data within SAP S/4HANA and MDG.

Your responsibilities

• Work with business stakeholders, Product Managers and Architects to understand requirements and define technical solutions for SAP MDG.
• Configure and customise SAP MDG, including governance models, rule‑based workflows and BRF+.
• Work with Material and Finance master data objects, including data quality, validation and migration activities.
• Define and support inbound and outbound replication models, SOA services and relevant BAdIs.
• Configure and extend MDG workflows covering validation, derivation, approval and change management processes.
• Prepare technical and functional documentation, including BPD, FDD and TSD.

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of experience working with SAP master data and data quality management.
• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP MDG and SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with SAP MDG configuration, including Governance Models, BRF+ and rule‑based workflows.
• Good understanding of Material and Finance master data objects.
• Experience with MDG replication, SOA services, BAdIs and integrations.
• Experience with data migration, validation and data quality processes.
• Knowledge of ABAP, Fiori and SAP Workflow from a functional/technical perspective.
• Experience with MDG Consolidation; knowledge of MDQ/data validation services would be an advantage.
• Understanding of SAP modules such as CRM, SD and PTP from a master data perspective.
• Experience with configuration, debugging and testing of MDG applications.
• Experience supporting or guiding developers and working with cross‑functional IT teams.
• Experience with cutover and end‑to‑end integration testing.
• Good understanding of Agile ways of working; SAFe experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and fluent English.
