About the Role
We are looking for an experienced SAP EWM Consultant to join Group IT. You will be responsible for owning and evolving EWM processes and the warehouse solution landscape, ensuring support for end-to-end inbound, outbound, internal warehouse, and integration processes.
The role involves active participation in design, implementation, rollout, and continuous improvement of SAP EWM across the organization, working closely with logistics, supply chain, and warehouse teams.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the evolution of the Extended Warehouse Management / EWM application landscape, supporting roadmap activities, backlog prioritization, service performance, and continuous optimization together with the relevant application and process owners.
- Actively participate in the design, implementation, rollout, and optimization of group-wide SAP EWM and warehouse management processes, working closely with project leads, process owners, and business stakeholders.
- Elicit and translate business needs with Warehouse, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Operations teams into robust functional designs and user stories.
- Hands-on SAP EWM configuration, including integration with SAP ERP systems (ECC, S/4HANA) and MDG, and transportation/logistics processes, with harmonized templates for multi-site deployments.
- Design and implement strategies for gathering, reviewing, and analyzing warehouse management and logistics data requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements and guide the design of technology solutions for SAP EWM, SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud WM, ECC WM and warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with project managers, Group IT, business stakeholders, and Local IT team members to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Present findings to leadership positions and document changes to functional and business specifications.
- Play a key role in the testing and rollout of new software or technology solutions, especially SAP EWM, SAP WM, and warehouse management platforms.
- Create detailed reports and give presentations to relevant stakeholders.
- Work closely with Application Maintenance Partners and Software Application Partners to ensure the smooth operation and optimization of EWM and warehouse management applications.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance and security policies as part of the application support and governance model.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in warehouse management, automation, logistics execution, and SAP EWM to ensure the company remains competitive.
Technical Skills
- 7+ years of professional experience, with 3-5 as SAP EWM Consultant
- Experience providing 2nd and 3rd level SAP support
- Demonstrable hands-on configuration expertise in SAP EWM and strong cross-module integration with ERP.
- Knowledge of Transportation Management system would be strong advantage.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management processes; hands-on experience with SAP WM and SAP Public Cloud WM would be a strong plus.
- Experience with warehouse execution, goods receipt, goods issue, stock movements, physical inventory, replenishment, picking, packing, staging, and integration into end-to-end logistics processes.
- Exposure to inbound, outbound, internal warehouse, production supply, stock transfer, and logistics execution processes.
- Experience in designing cohesive warehouse management and logistics processes and data flows, with a focus on user engagement, platform adoption, process harmonization, and data quality.
- Strong understanding of application lifecycle management and maintenance best practices.
- Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP environments related to warehouse management, logistics execution, transportation, and supply chain.
- Certifications (preferred/advantage): SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain, SAP Certified Application Associate – Warehouse Management, ITIL v4 Foundation.
