Job Description:
- Define and lead the SAP enterprise architecture strategy within an Application Evolution Services team, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and IT strategy.
- Responsible for the comprehensive design and organization of the S/4HANA setup, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and alignment with business needs.
- Utilize a blended skill set encompassing enterprise, infrastructure, and business architecture to drive holistic SAP solutions.
- Oversee end-to-end SAP solution design, ensuring adherence to best practices in process optimization and seamless system integration.
- Design and optimize enterprise-wide deployment of SAP technology solutions on existing cloud infrastructure to enhance performance and scalability.
- Act as the key decision-maker for SAP governance, security, compliance, and risk management, ensuring robust protection of systems and data.
- Ensure seamless integration of SAP applications with non-SAP systems, third-party applications, and cloud-based solutions to maximize business efficiency.
- Identify industry and technology trends to pinpoint areas for improvement and introduce new technologies that enhance organizational capabilities.
- Stay ahead of SAP innovations and advise on emerging trends, such as AI/ML in SAP, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and intelligent automation.
- Be deeply involved in all aspects of S/4HANA maintenance and service processes, including solution architecture, landscape design, technical integration, and scope finalization.
- Provide supervision and expert support for L2/L3 service support teams, ensuring high-quality service delivery and rapid issue resolution.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience as a SAP Enterprise Architect or in a similar role, with a strong background in designing and implementing SAP solutions.
- At least 3 years in customer experience roles (e.g., Program Manager, Architect), with expertise in end-to-end architectural design for hybrid solution landscapes.
- Solid understanding of SAP products, modules, and architecture, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP Integration Suite, and SAP Cloud Platform.
- Extensive knowledge of the SAP Enterprise Architecture Framework and Toolset, with experience in BTP components and services such as application development, automation, data and analytics, integration, and AI capabilities.
- Extensive experience in SAP application design and development, including ABAP programming, customization, and enhancements.
- Technical and/or functional knowledge and experience with SAP S/4HANA.
- Deep expertise in SAP integration technologies, such as SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI, or SAP NetWeaver Gateway.
- Strong understanding of SAP security concepts, authorizations, and user management.
- Experience with SAP system landscapes, including multi-tier architectures, high availability, disaster recovery, and system monitoring.
- Familiarity with SAP implementation methodologies and project delivery frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex SAP issues.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills (in English) at senior management and C-levels, within both IT teams and across business functions.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on continuous learning and business acumen.
- Knowledge of on-premises and cloud SAP solutions.
- Understanding of ITIL principles and the overall managed service process.
- Relevant professional training and certifications (e.g., SAP Enterprise Architecture Framework by LeanIX EAM, SAP Certified Professional-Enterprise Architect [P_SAPEA_2023], TOGAF).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Very good command of English, both spoken and written; knowledge of German is an advantage.
