Job summary

Miele is seeking a data engineer to design, build and operate reusable data products using SAP Datasphere and SAP Business Data Cloud. You will integrate business processes with open data platforms and ensure scalable data flows.

Responsibilities include modernizing SAP BW/BW4HANA data models, evaluating extraction approaches, and collaborating with data architects, external consultants and IT teams to deliver robust solutions while maintaining data quality and security standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering, data warehousing or analytical data modeling in the SAP environment (BW and/or BW/4HANA, Datasphere, BDC).
• Strong ABAP, SQL, and data modeling skills with a deep understanding of semantic modeling, data quality and harmonization.
• Knowledge of Python, ABAP OO, SQLScript and CDS desirable; basic data security and GDPR knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate reusable data products using SAP Datasphere and SAP Business Data Cloud.
• Evaluate SAP extraction and integration approaches with respect to delta handling, data volumes and performance.
• Modernize SAP BW/BW4HANA data models and flows by designing future architecture.
• Collaborate with data architects, external consultants and IT teams.
