Job summary

RED Global seeks an experienced SAP Authorization & Security Consultant to design, maintain, and improve security concepts within an SAP S/4HANA environment. You will ensure secure access, manage SoD controls, and support compliance programs across the organisation.

You will develop PFCG roles, lead access governance initiatives, and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders. Fluent English is required; occasional travel within Europe is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in SAP Security and Authorizations within SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Strong experience with SAP authorization concepts and PFCG role design and maintenance.
• Proven experience managing SoD frameworks and access governance processes.
• Knowledge of SAP GRC solutions and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and optimise SAP authorization concepts and role structures within SAP S/4HANA.
• Develop and maintain PFCG roles aligned with business processes and security requirements.
• Manage Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls, conflict analysis, remediation activities, and governance processes.
• Support SAP GRC processes and access governance initiatives.
• Conduct security reviews and identify opportunities to strengthen SAP access controls.
• Investigate authorization-related issues and security incidents, performing root cause analysis and coordinating resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, GDPR, ISO27001, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, evidence, and remediation plans where required.
• Maintain security documentation, role design standards, access governance procedures, and SoD matrices.
• Support software licensing reviews from an authorization and user access perspective.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and compliance functions to ensure secure SAP operations.
• Provide guidance and training to users regarding SAP access management and security best practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across SAP security, governance, and access management processes.

We are seeking an experienced SAP Authorization & Security Consultant to join a growing SAP Center of Excellence. This role will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and continuously improving SAP security and authorization concepts within an SAP S/4HANA environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring secure system access, managing Segregation of Duties (SoD), supporting compliance requirements, and maintaining a robust SAP security framework across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience in SAP Security and Authorizations within SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Strong experience with SAP authorization concepts and PFCG role design and maintenance.
• Proven experience managing Segregation of Duties (SoD) frameworks and access governance processes.
• Experience supporting and enhancing SAP S/4HANA landscapes in complex business environments.
• Knowledge of SAP GRC solutions is highly desirable.
• Understanding of compliance frameworks including GDPR, ISO27001, and audit requirements.
• Experience supporting SAP audit activities and remediation initiatives.
• Understanding of SAP licensing concepts and user access controls.
• SAP Security and/or SAP GRC certifications would be advantageous.
• Experience with SAP Activate methodology is beneficial.
• Exposure to modern SAP tools such as SAP Cloud ALM, Signavio, LeanIX, or WalkMe is an advantage.
• Experience with service management tools such as Jira Service Management is beneficial.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe when required.
