Our Customer is an Icelandic company operating in the aviation industry. The company maintains a complex technology landscape connecting internal and external systems, including customer data, loyalty, CRM, and customer communications. Its customer-facing operations rely on Salesforce Service Cloud and Sales Cloud, with integrations supporting service center processes and information flow across departments.
We are looking for a Senior Salesforce Platform Engineer to maintain, improve, and simplify an enterprise Salesforce environment. The role combines hands‑on Salesforce development, platform operations, and administration, with Service Cloud as the primary focus. The customer is reviewing its CRM landscape and may retain, simplify, or gradually decommission Salesforce; solutions should therefore remain modular and migration‑ready.
The engineer will collaborate with a senior full‑stack architect, two Salesforce developers, and integration engineers.
Tech stack: Salesforce Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Apex, Flow, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce DX, Git, REST APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, CI/CD, AI coding agents (e.g. Claude Code).
WE EXPECT FROM YOU
- 8+ years of software development experience, including at least 5 years of enterprise Salesforce development and technical leadership experience
- Demonstrated ownership of a production Salesforce org, including incidents, releases, access governance, and technical debt
- Deep expertise in Service Cloud, including high‑volume contact center case management and routing; working knowledge of Sales Cloud
- Strong hands‑on Apex and Flow skills, plus working knowledge of Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Experience with Salesforce CI/CD and deployment pipelines, Salesforce DX, Git, automated validation and testing
- Proven ability to refactor complex automation, including large Flows and migration from Process Builder or Workflow Rules
- Knowledge of Salesforce architecture and integration patterns: REST APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, asynchronous processing, and middleware
- Practical experience using AI coding agents (Claude Code or equivalent) in Salesforce development, with concrete examples of testing, validation, and productivity improvements
- Ability to design maintainable, modular solutions and make pragmatic build‑versus‑configure decisions
- For a combined engineer role: hands‑on production Service Cloud administration (profiles, permission sets, queues, Omni‑Channel, skills, validation rules, reporting, sandbox refreshes, releases, and platform health checks)
- For a split team: the Developer must cover development, CI/CD, integrations, and AI tooling; the Administrator must cover Service Cloud administration and production operations
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with engineering and business stakeholders
WOULD BE A PLUS
- Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer, Application Architect, or Administrator
- Knowledge of Marketing Cloud integrations with Service Cloud and shared customer data
- Experience with CRM migration, system replacement, or decommissioning
- Experience with other CRM platforms
- Experience in aviation, travel, or loyalty programs
- WE OFFER YOUModern technologies, new product development, and different business domains.
- Start‑up agility combined with mature delivery practices and a management team.
- Strong focus on your technical and personal growth.
- Transparent career development and individual development plan.
- Flexible working mode (remote/work from office), full remote possibility.
- Competitive compensation and social package
- Focus on well‑being and human touch.
- Flat organization where everyone is heard and is invited to contribute.
