Job description

An incredible opportunity awaits you as our new Sales Manager in Kongsberg Discovery . In this role, you will play a n important part in our dynamic sales team , delivering essential growth for our core business while finding new opportunities .

As a S ales M anager for the I nertial product portfolio, you will be working across many sectors, both in the traditional maritime market as well as actively searching for new opportunities in any domain. Ideally you have a background in surveying, robotics or other field where you have a deep understanding of motion sensing, gyro compassing and Inertial Navigation Systems (INS). You will leverage your experience and expertise to provide the most operationally effective solutions for your customer ’ s application. You will be responsible for maintaining customer accounts, developing new business and achieving sales targets.

What you will be doing

Sales of Inertial systems such as MRU, MGC, Seapath and new developments

Represent Kongsberg Discovery at industry conferences and exhibitions

Meetings and follow-up with customers and integrators

Prepare quotations and engage in contract negotiation s

Achieving forecasted sales targets for defined areas

International travel will be required

We think you should have

Technical education or proven technical knowledge in relevant fields. E.g. BSc in Surveying, Automation, Mechatronics, Cybernetics or similar

Ideally 3 to 5 years+ operational experience in relevant industry

Experience and proven success in solution-based sales and negotiations

Self-drive and a solution-oriented mindset
