Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Principal Medical Scientist (Project Lead) for RWE in Poland and nearby regions. You will oversee medical monitoring, data review, and the development of medical plans while coordinating with cross-functional teams and customers to ensure study success.

The role requires leadership in scientific services, strong GCP knowledge, and experience with epidemiology and study protocols. You will mentor teams and contribute to training and audits.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in life sciences or health field with 5+ years practical experience or MS/MBA with 3+ years, PharmD/PhD 2 years, MD/DO with 1 year prior experience.
• Experience in clinical scientist role or similar.
• Experience working on multinational studies.
• Hands-on epidemiology study design, conduct and analysis.
• Experience in or leading study teams.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple functional groups.
• Strong knowledge of the clinical research process and GCPs.
• Demonstrated independent authorship of study protocols and other documents.
• Working knowledge of statistics, data analysis, and data interpretation.
• Experience managing external vendors for clinical/epidemiological studies.

Responsibilities

• Manages project scope of work, objectives, and quality of deliverables to ensure milestones and timelines are met.
• Serves as primary interface between internal team, customers, and vendors in medical monitoring and data review.
• Develops medical plans with Medical Directors (Medical Management Plan, Medical Data Review Plan, and Eligibility Review Plan).
• Develops non-standard procedures and project plans with customers.
• Performs regular medical data review of listings and visualizations; analyzes data to identify risks and trends.
• Pro-actively identifies and resolves medical data review issues.
• Provides advanced medical data review on project-level data as needed.
• Collaborates with study team members to identify risks related to data integrity and subject safety.
