Job summary

Our Client, a well-established roofing contractor, is seeking an experienced Roofing Estimator to support its growing workload on commercial and residential projects. You will review drawings and specifications, visit sites as needed, obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations, and prepare detailed cost breakdowns and tender submissions.

Strong numeracy, communication, and negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Roofing Estimator.
• Strong knowledge of both flat roofing and pitched roofing systems.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience preparing estimates for commercial and/or residential roofing projects.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for flat roofing and pitched roofing projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
• Conduct site visits when required to assess project scope and gather relevant information.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Produce detailed cost breakdowns and tender submissions.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams throughout the estimating process.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance.
• Maintain accurate estimating records and support project handovers.
