Job summary

PUM is seeking a Representative for the Southern Andean region (Huancavelica, Apurímac, Ayacucho, Cusco, Puno, Arequipa, Moquegua) to join our Peru team. You will identify SME clients, promote PUM’s mission, and act as the first contact for clients, building trust and expanding our reach.

This flexible part-time contractor role requires about 6–15 hours weekly with a monthly base of €125 plus €500 per successful project, targeting at least 12 projects per year.

• 10+ years in building and maintaining customer relationships.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Acquire new SME clients aligned with PUM’s mission (Food Security focus).
• Build and maintain networks with key stakeholders such as business clubs and entrepreneurs.

• Coordinate collaboration between entrepreneurs and PUM experts to ensure project delivery.
• Deliver a minimum of 12 successful projects per year.

Representative Southern Andean Region

As our Representative in the southern Andean region (Huancavelica, Apurímac, Ayacucho, Cusco, Puno, Arequipa, Moquegua), you will be an vital member of the Peru country team. This team consists of a country manager and 5 other representatives across Peru. The PUM head office is based in The Hague, Netherlands, with around 50 employees. As representative, you identify potential clients - small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the southern Andean region - you promote PUM's mission, build trust with entrepreneurs and local partners, and act as thefirst point of contact for our clients. Your strength in acquisition and networking will be key to expanding PUM’s reach and creating lasting impact. You're not just a PUM representative, you are an ambassador!

What you'll Do

• Acquire new clients: SMEs that align with PUM’s mission within Food Security.
• Build and maintain networks with key stakeholders, including business clubs, entrepreneurs, and professionals.
• Partner with entrepreneurs as they pursue sustainable and inclusive business growth.

• Deliver a minimum of 12 successful projects per year.

This is a flexible part-time role, offered on an independent contractor basis. As such, this role is not designed to serve as a primary source of income, but rather as a part-time or supplementary engagement alongside other work or income sources. The expected commitment is approximately 6-15 hours per week. You will receive a monthly basic remuneration of €125 to cover your local travel, communication, and basic operational costs. In addition, you’ll receive a result-based remuneration of €500 per successful project. As an independent contractor, you are responsible for your own taxes, social security contributions, insurance and any other statutory obligations that apply in your country of residence. Reference checks and a declaration of good conduct are part of the selection process.

Who are you?

• Well-connected across SMEs, business associations, institutions, and government, fostering collaboration and influence within the focus sectors of
• Experienced, with at least 10 years of proven success in building and maintaining customer relationships, including strong acquisition and project management skills.
• Deeply knowledgeable about the socio-economic context, language, and culture of Peru and the southern Andean region.
• An experienced entrepreneur with a strategic approach toward building a client portfolio.
• Strong interview and listening skills to uncover clients’ true needs and translate them into opportunities.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish, with excellent communication skills.
• Available to work approximately 6-15 hours per week, spread across multiple days.
• Confident in using digital tools, particularly Microsoft 365.
• Youlivein or around Huancavelica, Apurímac, Ayacucho, Cusco, Puno, Arequipa, or Moquegua.
