Job summary

Alignerr is hiring for a fully remote, hourly contract Software Engineer to help build, evaluate, and improve AI-generated code. You will work across languages, review AI outputs, and provide expert feedback on code quality and safety.

Choose your schedule with 10-40 hours per week, and collaborate asynchronously to push the boundaries of AI-assisted coding. Strong CS fundamentals and clear written communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Go, TypeScript).
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across languages and problem domains.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability, and best practices.
• Identify bugs, logic errors, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide structured, detailed feedback explaining why code works - or doesn't.
• Design challenging coding prompts and edge-case scenarios to stress-test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank multiple AI-generated solutions based on engineering quality.
