Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Data to join its fully distributed AI team and build data pipelines powering model training and next‑generation AI products.

You will design and operate large‑scale data processing systems, partner with AI scientists, own projects from inception through delivery, and help advance a product that assists learners with reading differences around the world.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent, or practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering with backend focus.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production systems with data pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving, initiative, and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Discover new sources of audio data and build reliable pipelines into training datasets.
• Build and optimize large-scale data-processing systems for quality, throughput and cost.
• Collaborate with AI scientists to improve datasets for next-generation models.
• Take ownership of engineering projects from discovery to delivery and iteration.
