Job summary

Svitla Systems is looking for a Senior SLAM Engineer (C++/Python) for a full-time position in Poland. You will design, implement, and improve SLAM algorithms and related localization components, working with real-world sensor data to deliver robust perception solutions for CV and GenAI projects.

Qualifications

• Strong practical experience with SLAM.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python.
• Good knowledge of recent SLAM approaches and developments in the field.
• Understanding of optimization techniques commonly used in SLAM.
• Experience working with real-world sensor data and debugging complex perception systems.
• Ability to independently investigate technical problems and deliver effective, outcome-focused solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and improve SLAM algorithms and related localization and mapping components.
• Evaluate and apply modern SLAM approaches based on product and project requirements.
• Improve the robustness, accuracy, and performance of localization and mapping solutions.
• Analyze algorithm performance, identify limitations, and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with engineering and research teams on integration, testing, and optimization.
• Stay current with recent research, frameworks, and best practices in SLAM and robotic perception.
