Svitla Systems Inc. is seeking a Senior ML/AI Engineer for a full-time role in Poland. You will develop, train, and deploy ML models focusing on classification, retrieval, NLP, and LLM-based tasks, with emphasis on retrieval-augmented generation and prompt engineering.

The ideal candidate has strong Python skills and practical experience with LLMs, NLP, and modern ML tools, collaborating across remote teams and on remote servers.

Qualifications

• Solid ML background with classification and retrieval tasks and hands-on LLM experience.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Knowledge of ML/AI concepts and NLP.
• Experience with LLM fine-tuning, RAG, foundation models, and prompt engineering.
• Knowledge of Pandas and NumPy.
• Familiarity with Hugging Face Transformers and Datasets.
• Familiarity with Faiss or similar NN search tools.
• Experience with Hydra for configuration management and Weights & Biases for experiments.
• Git and GitHub for version control; work with shared codebases and remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models.
• Work on classification, retrieval, NLP, and LLM-based tasks.
• Build and optimize retrieval-augmented generation workflows.
• Create fine-tuned large language models for specific use cases.
• Use foundation model APIs and apply prompt engineering techniques.
• Prepare, clean, manage, and manipulate datasets for ML model development.
• Use Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy for data analysis and preprocessing.
• Work with Hugging Face Transformers and Datasets libraries.
• Apply Faiss or similar tools for efficient nearest-neighbor search and retrieval tasks.
• Use Hydra for configuration management and Weights & Biases for experiment tracking.
• Collaborate with team members on shared codebases and remote projects; use Git/GitHub.
