Job summary

Qualifications

  • BS degree required in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or Mathematics and Statistics.
  • 5+ years of experience, preferably within industries with large, complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects.
  • Past Should Costing experience and leading should cost analysis projects would be a plus.
  • Benchmarking, Market Analysis, Competitive Intelligence, and Procurement Projects Management skills.
  • Previous experience in gathering, analyzing, and drawing insights from quantitative data.
  • Experience promoting continuous improvement across standard work, talent development, and risk mitigation to exceed goals.
  • Experience in computer programming (Java, C++, Python, Eclipse, VBA, or other environments).

Responsibilities

  • Identify and manage third-party suppliers for the Should Costing program.

You will be responsible for developing should cost estimates for large, complex AP1000, AP300 and eVinci structures and equipment by developing custom cost prediction algorithms specific to the nuclear industry. The program will output data points for important negotiations with suppliers to reduce cost for materials, labor and other fabrication considerations. We require strong relationship skills to manage organizational needs, project timelines, and resource management, providing innovative solutions to meet business objectives. You will report to the Manager - Should Costing area.

Responsibilities

  • Gather data from multiple sources, clean and amalgamate it.
  • Use statistical and mathematical modeling and programming skills to analyze large volumes of data. Develop libraries of algorithms to predict cost data, including materials, manufacturing operations, test operations, quality management operations, and other processes. These processes are necessary to establish a cost estimate for a variety of nuclear components and services.
  • Use the cost libraries to build should cost estimates by leading product teams and suppliers to identify the main cost driving parameters needed for the cost model.
  • Support category management and supplier negotiation teams to use should cost analysis in guide negotiations which will lead to business awards tied to Long-term Agreements (LTA).
  • Collaborate with external and other teams to identify component and process cost drivers, establish should cost estimates and identify cost reduction opportunities
  • Maintain Should Costing knowledge by researching and tracking industry trends, best practices, applicable indices, and competitive offerings to identify opportunities for innovation, competitive advantage, and increased overall productivity.
  • Develop a productive working relationship with teams: Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Procurement
  • Identify, secure and manage 3rd party suppliers to develop the Should Costing Program.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 13,916 to 17,350 PLN gross per month.

In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
