Job summary

Guidewire is seeking a Senior Python Engineer to join our Pricing and Rating team remotely. You will develop scalable Python services using FastAPI/Flask and SQLAlchemy, shaping an insurance pricing platform used by insurers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Python software development experience.
• Hands-on with FastAPI, Flask, SQLAlchemy, and Pydantic.
• Experience building high-availability services with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native tech.
• Experience deploying on public clouds (AWS preferred).
• Strong problem solving and communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop RESTful APIs with Flask and FastAPI and data models with SQLAlchemy.
• Analyze requirements, propose solutions, create PoCs, and deliver production-grade code.
• Ensure reliability by monitoring, tuning, and meeting SLOs.
• Collaborate via PR reviews, ADRs, and agile ceremonies.
