Job summary

Opal is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to help millions focus better by building a world-class iOS app. You will own end-to-end features, work with a small high-impact team, and shape the product with your ideas in a fast-growing startup.

You’ll operate in a fully remote setting (EU or UK) with bi-annual global meetups and a strong emphasis on craft, AI-driven improvements, and ownership. Compensation is competitive with equity options and recognition.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building iOS apps with live App Store work.
• Strong knowledge of Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit and Combine.
• Ability to own features end-to-end and maintain craft quality.
• Experience at an early-stage or fast-growing startup, with ownership beyond your job title.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward solving it yourself.

Responsibilities

• Ship features and interactions end to end in the iOS app.
• Bring your ideas into the product beyond specs.
• Design and analyse AB tests and act on metrics.
• Improve development workflows and AI integration.
• Collaborate with design and product in a flat, cross-functional structure.
• Support customers and stay close to user experience.
