Job summary

Quality & Reliability (QnR) seeks a Senior Governance, Risk and Compliance Expert to join one of its public sector clients in Warsaw, with remote work. You will ensure IT operations align with EU data protection laws, conduct DPIAs, maintain RoPAs, and advise stakeholders on obligations across the organisation.

You bring 5+ years in IT with 4+ in GRC, a Master’s in a technical field, and hands-on privacy experience in ICT/public sectors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT experience and 4+ years in a GRC role.
• Hands-on data protection compliance experience in ICT/public sector environments.
• Experience in preparing/reviewing RoPAs, DPAs, Transfer Impact Assessments, and data maps.
• Experience documenting technical arrangements: access rights, logs, retention, data flows.
• Deep knowledge of EU data protection legislation and privacy standards.
• Ability to work with incomplete ICT information and structure clear follow-ups.
• Strong communication skills to explain data protection topics to varied audiences.
• English at C1 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring IT operations comply with data privacy laws, regulations and standards.
• Conducting privacy impact assessments (DPIAs) and maintaining RoPAs.
• Identify compliance gaps and propose practical countermeasures.
• Advise on data protection matters, especially around personal data processing.
• Developing and communicating data privacy policies and procedures.
• Delivering staff awareness training on data protection.
• Acting as contact for queries/complaints related to data processing.
• Cooperating with authorities and professional groups on data protection matters.
• Managing legal aspects of information security and third-party relations.
