Job summary

Darwin Recruitment is seeking a Rails Engineer with a focus on Test Automation to join a UK public sector project. You will split time between feature development in Rails and strengthening automated tests, building out RSpec coverage and browser automation with Capybara, Selenium, Cypress or Playwright.

You will contribute to CI pipelines (GitHub Actions/CircleCI/GitLab CI) and help ensure services meet accessibility standards while collaborating with a nearshore remote team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Strong automated testing with RSpec.
• Experience with browser test tooling (Capybara, Selenium, Cypress or Playwright).
• Experience building CI pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, GitLab CI).
• Knowledge of WCAG accessibility testing.
