Job summary

HeadHR is seeking a Principal Go Engineer to own the architecture and performance of a distributed data and analytics platform, with hands-on work on large production systems using Kubernetes, public cloud, and on-premises.

You will design scalable Go services, build Kafka-based data pipelines, and drive architectural decisions for scalability, consistency, and disaster recovery while mentoring engineers and collaborating with DevOps and product teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in software development with 5+ years in Go.
• Experience owning high-availability, distributed systems.
• Fluent English and strong architectural decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable Go backend services and high-performance data pipelines.
• Build Kafka-based event-driven architecture and define data flows.
• Make architectural decisions for scalability, consistency and disaster recovery.
• Lead cross-team technical initiatives and mentor engineers.
