Job summary

Lilt is seeking skilled linguists to join our translation pool for Polish-Latvian content. This is an independent contractor role with flexible hours and no guaranteed benefits; work available across Life Sciences, IT, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and more.

Responsibilities include translating between Polish and Latvian, editing for accuracy and tone, applying current language standards, and providing feedback to improve language model quality. Transcreation supported when needed.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in Polish and Latvian required.
• Graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies or equivalent experience.
• Several years of full-time professional translation experience demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Translate content between Polish and Latvian while preserving nuance and clarity.
• Edit and refine language content for accuracy, tone, and contextual relevance.
• Apply current language standards, usage trends, and best practices.
• Evaluate and provide structured feedback to improve language model quality.
• Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to localize content.
• Support localization and QA for digital tools and applications.
• Provide occasional transcreation when needed to read naturally in target language.
