Job summary

Baltic Assist in Poland is seeking a Polish Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting for clients in compliance with Polish regulations. You will handle records, communicate with authorities, and ensure accuracy across financial data.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional experience in Polish accounting.
• A college or university degree in Accounting.
• At least a Level 1 accounting certification.
• Good knowledge of Polish accounting regulations and practical bookkeeping principles.
• Fluency in Polish is required.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Confidence in communicating directly with clients and Polish public authorities.
• Good MS Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting activities for clients.
• Record and review invoices, bank transactions, and other accounting entries.
• Collect, verify, and process financial and administrative documentation to ensure records are complete and up-to-date.
• Perform balance sheet and P&L reconciliations and ensure general ledger accuracy.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare financial statements and Polish tax declarations and reports.
• Communicate with clients and authorities regarding accounting matters.
• Support audits and cooperate with auditors, tax advisors, and authorities.
• Share accounting knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
