Job summary

Physitrack PLC is seeking a Mid DevOps Engineer (Security and Reliability) to own the edge, data layer, and observability across a multi-region AWS estate. This role is hands-on engineering, not governance, focused on security posture and reliability.

The position is remote, based in Poland, with a B2B contract and EUR 6,000-8,000 per month. You will work with a global team to defend cloud infrastructure and evidence controls for auditors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in infrastructure, SRE or security with strong AWS depth.
• Edge/WAF or reverse proxy tech experience: Envoy, nginx, Cloudflare, ModSecurity, Coraza.
• Production Kubernetes, ideally EKS, and strong Terraform.
• Operating PostgreSQL at scale with upgrades and performance work.
• Proven observability experience; effective alerting.
• Security mindset; consider attacker perspective.
• English at working professional level; international team.

Responsibilities

• Own Envoy-based edge, WAF rules, rate limiting, and bot management across cloud and CDN layers.
• Harden AWS estate: IAM boundaries, least privilege access, threat detection, and EKS runtime monitoring.
• Manage secrets, certificates, and token lifecycles across the platform.
• Produce infrastructure evidence for ISO 27001 audits, pen tests, and security reviews.
• Run PostgreSQL and RDS across regions; manage upgrades, performance, and encryption.
• Own monitoring stack: Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Sentry, PagerDuty; create meaningful alerts.
