Job summary

Independence Community College (ICC) invites applications for an adjunct faculty position to teach undergraduate courses online. Compensation is $675 per credit hour (3 credits = $2025) and the role is remote.

The successful candidate will organize and teach online classes, provide timely feedback, maintain attendance records, and submit grades while supporting institutional effectiveness initiatives. A Master’s degree in the discipline is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in the chosen discipline, or a master’s degree in a related field with 18 graduate credits in the concentration.
• Higher education teaching experience.
• Experience with the Canvas learning management platform.
• Remote position.

Responsibilities

• Organize and teach on-line classes as assigned.
• Deliver quality instruction which prepares students for further education and/or the workplace.
• Manage the teaching environment to serve all learners.
• Provide regular and timely evaluation feedback to students.
• Maintain student attendance records.
• Submit mid-term and final grades.
• Participate in institutional effectiveness initiatives including assessment and evaluation.
• Demonstrate professionalism with faculty, administration, staff and students.
• Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
