Job summary

Precisely, a global leader in data quality and location intelligence, is seeking an IP Tech & Product Counsel to guide intellectual property, technology product development, and data licensing across our worldwide operations.

You will partner with engineering, product, marketing, compliance, and external counsel to craft agreements, assess AI and data risks, and help scale products from ideation to launch while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Law degree and admission to practice in local jurisdiction.
• 5–7 years post-qualification IP/tech law experience; 4+ in-house in tech/SaaS/data.
• Professional fluency in English for advanced legal reading, writing, and communication.
• Hybrid or full-remote role; global time-zone coverage.
• Collaborative, self-motivated with interest in AI/data tech.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and review IP/tech agreements with suppliers, partners, vendors, and customers.
• Handle AI/ML addendums, OSS licenses, data/licensing terms, SaaS and cloud terms.
• Assist IP matters including patents, trade secrets, licensing, and portfolio management.
• Provide AI compliance guidance, risk assessments, and training on AI/ML, data ownership, and output rights.
• Support product lifecycle reviews and ensure regulatory compliance for new features and APIs.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Documentation, and R&D teams on UIs, disclaimers, TOUs, and content.
