Job summary

EUROPEAN DYNAMICS is seeking a Security Officer to provide expert services remotely, with the first assignment on-site alongside a major client's IT team. The role focuses on developing and enforcing information security, IT risk management, and governance frameworks.

You will advise on security strategy, policies and resilience; conduct risk assessments and audits; maintain security policies and controls; lead enterprise-wide security initiatives; and coordinate security clearance processes

Qualifications

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline; minimum 8 years of related experience.
• At least 7 years in risk management, information security and IT.
• Experience with contract, vendor and managed services procurement/management.
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies and virtualized environments.
• Experience in Agile software development and DevSecOps environments.
• Excellent knowledge of information security, risk management and business continuity standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001).
• Professional security management certification is a plus.
• Excellent command of English.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee information security, IT risk management, and governance frameworks.
• Advise on security strategy, policies, standards, architecture, resilience and operational security requirements.
• Develop and maintain the Information Security Management Framework (ISMF) and translate objectives into controls.
• Establish and monitor IT governance, risk, compliance, audit, and reporting processes.
• Conduct security risk and vulnerability assessments, audits, and business continuity planning; recommend mitigations.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, standards, and documentation.
• Lead enterprise-wide security initiatives and promote security awareness across projects and services.
• Provide technical leadership in identifying and resolving complex security issues and implementing controls.
• Manage industrial and personnel security clearance processes with relevant authorities.
• Advise on current and emerging cybersecurity risks, technologies, and best practices.
