Job summary

LEAD North, LLC is a remote-only company focusing on healthcare IT projects spanning provider, payer, and HIE. The Technical Project Manager leads complex initiatives from inception to delivery, aligning client needs with technical teams while managing scope, timelines, and risk.

Candidates bring 5+ years in healthcare IT project management, interoperability experience (HL7/FHIR/C-CDA), and familiarity with InterSystems platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or a related field preferred. Equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience may meet this requirement.
• Project Management Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience leading technical projects in a consulting or enterprise setting.
• Healthcare IT Expertise: Proven experience delivering projects for provider, payer, or HIE organizations, with an understanding of clinical and financial workflows.
• Interoperability & Integration Background: Working knowledge of healthcare integration standards (HL7, FHIR, C-CDA) and integration engine workflows.
• InterSystems Experience (Highly Preferred): Prior experience managing projects built on InterSystems platforms (IRIS for Health, HealthShare, Health Connect, Ensemble, Caché)
• Communication & Leadership: Outstanding client-facing presentation, facilitation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional technical teams without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Execution: Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive project plans, defining milestones, timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Scope & Schedule Management: Drive timely delivery within scope and budget, managing change requests, dependencies, and critical path activities across teams.
• Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and internal technical teams to manage expectations, facilitate recurring status meetings, and maintain strong client partnerships.
