Job summary

Ledgebrook is an InsurTech MGA seeking a skilled Full Stack Software Engineer to own significant parts of the stack and deliver features end-to-end. You will collaborate with product, design, and fellow engineers across the tech stack, building frontend and backend components with Python and JavaScript (Node.js).

You’ll develop RESTful APIs, implement tests, and contribute to CI/CD while focusing on maintainability and scalability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-stack development experience.
• Ability to gather business requirements and design scalable solutions.
• Strong data modeling skills based on domain use cases.
• Proven ability to write maintainable, testable code.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, AWS Code Pipelines, Jenkins).
• Excellent verbal and written communication and time management.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to build new features and enhance applications.
• Design and implement frontend and backend components using Python and JavaScript (Node.js).
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and CI/CD standards.
• Implement automated tests and ensure code quality through reviews and CI.
• Optimize performance and scalability for growing user demands.
• Explore and apply LLMs to boost underwriters' productivity.
• Debug production issues with modern tooling.
• Help steer the direction of the growing engineering team.
