Location is remote across Latin America and Europe with project-based engagements and flexible hours; compensation ranges from $30 to $80 per hour, depending on expertise and project needs.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in ecology, evolutionary biology, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of relevant research or applied experience.
• Fluent English, with strong written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design tasks involving biodiversity, population dynamics, conservation, evolutionary processes, or ecological interactions.
• Develop reference solutions with explicit assumptions, analytical methods, and evidence.
• Evaluate agents using ecological datasets, spatial tools, statistical software, or phylogenetic resources.
• Define evaluation criteria for scientific reasoning, reproducibility, and interpretation.
• Identify sampling bias, inappropriate models, unsupported causal claims, and other methodological errors.
