Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Data Engineer with strong Databricks and GCP experience to develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and productionize agentic workflows for data engineering automation.

You will design and optimize pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, and SQL, integrate with BigQuery and Delta Lake, and build reusable components for multiple data use cases while ensuring data quality and production readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks and PySpark.
• Advanced SQL and data-processing skills.
• Experience with GCP, particularly BigQuery.
• Experience with Delta Lake and modern data lake architectures.
• Strong ETL/ELT design and data quality knowledge.
• Experience delivering production-grade data solutions.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Understanding of software engineering practices, including testing, version control, deployment, monitoring, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, and SQL.
• Build and operationalize agentic workflows to automate data engineering processes.
• Integrate Databricks, GCP, BigQuery, Delta Lake environments.
• Develop data pipelines and processing solutions to support new datasets and business needs.
• Create reusable data engineering frameworks and components.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, validation, exception handling, and production controls.
• Tune PySpark and SQL workloads for performance and reliability.
• Support testing, deployment, and productionization of data solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex data and production issues; implement durable fixes.
• Collaborate with business, data eng, and platform teams to find automation opportunities.
