Job summary

Jobgether in Poland seeks a Data Scientist (Time Series Forecasting) for a partner company to join a fully remote, distributed team building forecasting solutions for an energy trading platform.

You will design and implement time series models to predict weather, energy prices, and grid demand, translate models into production-ready code with Python and SQL, and collaborate with international teammates across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Econometrics, Physics, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline.
• 3+ years of relevant data science or forecasting experience.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and production workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and refine time series forecasting models for weather, energy prices, and grid supply/demand.
• Translate forecasting algorithms into robust, production-ready code powering a live energy trading platform.
• Analyze datasets, identify patterns, and improve forecasting accuracy for data-driven decisions.
• Incorporate AI-assisted coding tools into daily development to accelerate implementation.
• Collaborate with distributed teams to align model development with business requirements.
