Job summary

Square One Resources is seeking an experienced Data & Analytics Consultant to join the client’s cloud-based data team. The role covers end-to-end data flows, building pipelines in Python and SQL, and developing BigQuery semantic models and Power BI reports that feed into the BI roadmap.

You will work 100% remotely, starting mid-December, with workload shifting from 100% to 50% through the year, and a strong emphasis on maintainable code, documentation, and version control.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data/Analytics Engineer on cloud platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP and BigQuery, building production pipelines in Python and SQL
• Experience with Apache Airflow and external API integrations
• Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD
• Structured and self-driven with emphasis on documentation and knowledge sharing

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining pipelines in Python and SQL
• Running orchestration in Apache Airflow with third-party API integrations
• Deploying and troubleshooting containerised workloads on Cloud Run
• Curated data models and semantic layers in BigQuery
• Power BI models and reports that feed into the wider BI roadmap
• Work across the whole data flow
