Job summary

YO AI Labs seeks a Child & Youth Abuse Trauma Specialist contractor to contribute to a client project that strengthens AI systems' understanding of trauma-informed care for vulnerable youth.

You will review AI-generated mental health guidance, analyze case-based scenarios, and document recommendations to improve accuracy, privacy, and safety, collaborating with clinical and ethical experts to ensure safe, compassionate responses.

Qualifications

• MD/PhD in Psychology or PhD in Social Work required.
• Extensive clinical experience with children or youth affected by abuse.
• Strong expertise in trauma-informed care and interventions for young survivors.
• Active professional experience supporting individuals affected by abuse.
• Strong understanding of clinical assessment, ethics, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze case-based scenarios involving child and youth abuse.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated mental health guidance from clinical ethics perspectives.
• Develop and review trauma-informed content for young survivors.
• Identify clinical, ethical, and safety gaps in AI responses.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure content reflects appropriate mental health standards.
• Participate in iterative review cycles to improve training data and model responses.
• Document recommendations to improve accuracy, privacy, and safety.
