Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer, AI Data to join its AI team and build data pipelines powering model training and next-gen AI products. The role focuses on creating scalable data-processing systems and discovering new data sources for high-quality datasets.

You will collaborate with AI scientists, own projects end-to-end, and operate in a distributed, truly remote environment with a strong emphasis on autonomy and impact.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software eng experience with strong backend fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux.
• Experience operating production systems, especially data pipelines or large-scale data processing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Discover new audio data sources and build pipelines to ingest them into training datasets.
• Build and optimize large-scale data-processing systems for quality, throughput and cost.
• Collaborate with AI scientists to improve training datasets and models.
• Own projects from problem discovery through implementation and continuous improvement.
