Job summary

Balyasny Asset Management L.P. is seeking a Reference Data Operations Analyst to support the quality, maintenance, and governance of critical reference data across the firm.

This role ensures that trading, risk, operations, settlements, and reporting are supported by accurate and timely referential data. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with heavy data entry and maintenance of static/reference data, focused on security master data.
• Experience maintaining security master data across instruments.
• Experience maintaining organizational master data (Accounts, Legal Entities, etc.).
• Experience maintaining Corporate Action data across instruments.
• Experience resolving data quality exceptions and performing reconciliations.
• Experience using JIRA or similar issue-tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Support high-quality reference data for trading, risk, and operations through data quality controls and exception management.
• Create and maintain security set-ups across multiple asset classes (equities, fixed income, CDS, IRS, forwards, etc.).
• Develop expertise in corporate actions impact on positions and downstream systems.
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve data quality exceptions and reconciliations in a timely manner.
• Support modeling and interpretation of referential data for analysis and reporting.
• Maintain reference data elements such as security master, account master, broker master, and charge data.
• Respond to trader and stakeholder queries related to positions and data in firm-wide systems.
• Collaborate with external data vendors to challenge data and resolve issues.
