Job summary

3Shape Poland Sp. z o.o. in Szczecin seeks an R&D Group Manager to lead our mechanical engineering team, focusing on 3D CAD design, documentation, and SolidWorks infrastructure. You will partner with global R&D and production to deliver high-quality dental scanner technology.

The role combines people leadership with CAD ownership, driving onboarding, standards, and change governance across the CAD/PLM environment while shaping the global CAD practices in an international setting.

Qualifications

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Strong mechanical product development background—ideally precision products, electromechanical systems, or medical devices.
• Advanced SolidWorks experience (modelling, assemblies, drawings, configurations, design intent)
• Experience with CAD data management, PLM, or engineering change processes
• Leadership experience—as a people manager, technical/CAD lead, or senior engineer with team responsibility
• Strong cross-functional communication skills; business-level English

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing mechanical engineering team, currently focused on 3D CAD design, documentation, and SolidWorks infrastructure.
• Act as a solid people manager—ensuring team engagement, skill development, and technical delivery.
• Actively drive cross-site collaboration with engineering teams in Copenhagen and other global locations.
• Maintaining the CAD Methodology Playbook, driving onboarding and training, and partnering closely with IT and PLM stakeholders on system stability and improvements.
