Hitachi Energy is seeking an R&D Materials Engineer to shape and maintain engineering material standards used globally. You will govern material specifications for reusable raw materials, semi-finished materials and components, interfacing with engineering, manufacturing and data governance teams.
You will contribute to data quality in central PLM/PDM systems, harmonize legacy standards, and support material selection across factories and product lines, enabling global standards adoption.
As an R&D Materials' Engineer, you will help shape and maintain engineering material standards used across a global organization. You will support the creation, implementation and governance of technical specifications for reusable raw materials, semi-finished materials and components.
You will work at the intersection of engineering, material management and product data governance. Your expertise will help ensure that material specifications, engineering standards and product information remain accurate, consistent and accessible across factories and engineering teams worldwide.
In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues from engineering, manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, master data and quality functions. You will contribute to standardization initiatives, support users in selecting the right materials and specifications, and help improve data quality within central PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)/PDM (Product Data Management) systems.
