Job summary

Luxoft in Poland is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated UI and API test suites using Playwright. The role supports hybrid work (3 days in the office) in Wroclaw or Krakow, collaborating with Scrum teams on blockchain-based projects.

You will implement testing frameworks for web apps and event-driven distributed systems, integrate tests in GitLab CI/CD, and ensure quality through continuous testing in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in Quality Assurance and test automation.
• Hands-on Playwright experience with TypeScript, Python or Java for UI and API automation.
• Experience designing automated testing frameworks for web apps and event-driven distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, quality engineering, and test lifecycle management.
• Experience in Agile development teams and CI/CD integration; GitLab CI preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

The Client Digital Assets Crew, located in Switzerland and Poland, consists of two Scrum teams with diverse skill sets. We focus on developing innovative projects based on blockchain technologies, including the tokenization of financial assets. These cloud-hosted projects utilize the latest advanced technologies available. Our team is committed to delivering applications that provide substantial value and innovation to the finance industry.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated UI and API test suites using Playwright (TypeScript, Python, or Java), ensuring optimal test coverage and reliability.
• Build and enhance automated testing frameworks for web applications and event-driven distributed systems, applying QA best practices throughout the test lifecycle.
• Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with Agile teams to ensure high software quality through effective communication and continuous testing

Mandatory Skills Description:

• At least 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance and test automation
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright with TypeScript, Python or Java. End-to-end test automation of UI and API defining test cases for optimal coverage
• Experience designing and implementing automated testing frameworks for web applications and event-driven distributed systems
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, quality engineering practices, and test lifecycle management
• Experience working within Agile development teams and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. GitLab CI preferably
