Project

You will be a part of digital transformation in safety industry. The client are taking the initiative to develop and expand their web development competence, with the goal of enhancing our digital service portfolio.

In this project you will join a cross-functional team responsible for testing and quality assurance of a modern, distributed platform supporting large-scale data processing and IoT integrations. The project combines microservice-based architecture, event-driven communication (Kafka), and hybrid deployment models (cloud + on-premise). The system handles secure data flows, authentication layers, and real-time data synchronization across multiple environments.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and maintain structured, traceable test scenarios aligned with business and technical requirements
• Test distributed microservice-based systems, integrations, and end-to-end workflows
• Develop and execute automated test pipelines integrated into CI/CD workflows
• Conduct performance and security testing for containerized and ETL processes
• Validate data integrity across SQL and NoSQL databases, including IoT sensor data
• Perform frontend testing of React.js applications and asynchronous features (events, webhooks, websockets)
• Execute live validation and smoke tests in production-like environments
• Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and product owners to ensure system stability and quality
• Participate in root cause analysis and contribute to continuous quality improvement
• Support the design and extension of custom testing frameworks (preferably in C# or other OOP languages)
• Apply risk-based testing approaches and maintain test documentation that scales with distributed architectures
• Contribute to maintaining high security and compliance standards across testing activities

Expected competences and knowledge

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience as QA Engineer
• Experience supporting the design and extension of custom testing frameworks (preferably in C# or other object-oriented languages)
• Proven experience designing structured and traceable test scenarios (risk-based testing, test case mapping, coverage tracking)
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservice-based architectures
• Experience testing containerized environments (Kubernetes, Helm)
• Strong background in security and compliance testing (mTLS, IAM, SSO)
• Hands-on experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g. JMeter)
• Knowledge of event-driven systems (Kafka; ActiveMQ or MQTT is a plus)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and CI/CD workflows
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional teams
• Experience mentoring or leading testing activities
• ISTQB-level knowledge of software testing principles (formal certification not required)
