Job summary

Tanium is hiring a QA Engineer in Krakow. The role focuses on building automated tests for a distributed Tanium platform across UI, API, and integration layers. You will work with developers and product managers to craft test plans, strengthen automation frameworks, and file clear bug reports.

We expect 3–5 years in QA with strong Python/Pytest experience, REST API testing, and CI/CD integration. Hybrid work arrangement includes 3 days in Cracow office weekly.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of QA engineering experience with a focus on test automation in B2B software or SaaS.
• Proficiency in Python/Pytest for automation; familiarity with other languages is acceptable.
• Strong REST API testing experience and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Knowledge of test automation pyramid, Page Object Model, Agile/Scrum, and defect management tools (Jira, TestRail).
• Familiarity with non-functional testing (load, stress, performance) and basic security testing concepts (OWASP).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication for bug reports and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites across UI, API, and integration layers.
• Embed in engineering squads; write in-sprint automation to keep pace with feature work.
• Build and maintain automated regression pipelines in CI/CD; monitor pipeline health and reduce flaky tests.
• Create and execute test plans and test cases covering functional, regression, integration, performance, and basic security testing.
• Identify and document defects with reproducible bug reports; validate fixes with engineering.
• Collaborate with software engineers and product managers throughout the lifecycle; participate in design reviews and sprint planning.
• Create QA documentation including test plans, summaries, and deployment checklists; share knowledge within Krakow QA team.
