Coherent Solutions is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join the Data Engineering team in Poland. You will build automated API tests, write SQL checks, and validate data through multiple pipeline layers, ensuring data accuracy in reports and investor materials.

The role focuses on API automation with data validation and end-to-end testing, requiring 4+ years of QA experience, strong SQL, and familiarity with data architecture and Airflow. Flexible remote and hybrid options are available.

Formación

• 4+ years of software QA experience with web apps, REST APIs, or Salesforce.
• Advanced SQL skills including data validation and profiling.
• Understanding of data architecture (Medallion), Airflow, DAGs and data pipelines.
• Ability to triage issues and manage work across multiple products.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams; mentoring allowed.
• Occasional meetings as late as 8-9 p.m. Poland time.

Project Description

As a QA Automation Engineer on the Data Engineering team, you’ll help ensure the services and data other teams rely on are dependable. You’ll work closely with engineers across the organization in a hands‑on role that values strong automation skills, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach. The role primarily focuses on API automation, while also involving data validation, data quality testing, and end‑to‑end testing of data pipelines and reporting flows.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain automated API tests for services owned by the Data Engineering team;
• Write SQL checks to validate data quality and transformations;
• Test data pipelines and verify data as it moves through the different layers of the data architecture;
• Check the accuracy and consistency of data used in reports and investor‑facing materials;
• Support end‑to‑end testing across Data Engineering services;
• Identify gaps in test coverage and establish appropriate QA processes and standards;

Job Requirements

• 4+ years of software QA experience, including work with web applications, REST APIs, and/or Salesforce;
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, data validation, reconciliation, and data profiling;
• Understanding of data architecture, including Medallion, and familiarity with Airflow, DAGs, data pipelines, and transformations;
• The ability to understand system architecture and infrastructure;
• Strong ownership and sense of urgency, with the ability to triage issues, adapt to changing priorities, and manage work across multiple products and projects;
• Clear communication and collaboration across teams, including facilitating constructive discussions and helping teams reach decisions;
• Ability to mentor teammates, share knowledge, delegate work, and promote accountability across the team;
• Experience improving team effectiveness by establishing QA practices, coding guidelines, tools, and processes, and introducing useful technologies where appropriate;
• Availability to occasionally join meetings scheduled as late as 8-9 p.m. Poland time;

Nice To Have

• Experience with API testing tools and frameworks such as RestAssured or Unirest;
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as TestRail and Jira;
• Experience monitoring and validating systems with Datadog;
• Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, particularly cloud‑native services;
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline;
