Qualifications

  • Experience in the lighting, construction, or infrastructure sectors is a plus.
  • Understanding of public procurement processes and legal frameworks in the EU is a plus.

We’re looking for a Proposal/Bid Manager with business-level proficiency in Dutch and German and a minimum conversational level of English to join our Proposal Management Team in Warsaw or Madrid.

About the Role

As a Proposal/Bid Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting our sales professionals by crafting compelling offers for public tenders and strategic projects mainly across Dutch and German-speaking countries.

You’ll collaborate across departments and levels within Signify to deliver high-quality proposals that reflect our innovative solutions in:

  • Street and Roadways Lighting
  • Stadium, Arenas and Recreational sport Lighting
  • Architectural Lighting
  • Tunnel Lighting
  • and many more
What You’ll Do
  • Be a key contributor in the end-to-end proposal lifecycle, from opportunity qualification to final submission.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product Management, Legal, Finance, and Engineering to gather inputs and align on proposal strategy.
  • Analyze tender documentation and customer requirements to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
  • Develop tailored proposal content that highlights Signify’s value proposition, technical capabilities, and sustainability leadership.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to ensure accurate solution design, including lighting calculations, product selection, and system integration.
  • Maintain and update proposal templates, case studies, and reference materials to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Support post-submission activities such as clarifications, presentations, and contract negotiations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and implementing best practices in proposal development.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in Bid/Quotation/Proposal Management, preferably in the lighting, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Business-level proficiency in Dutch and German and a minimum conversational level of English; additional European languages are a plus.
  • High attention to detail and a structured approach to documentation and compliance.
  • A proactive mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Understanding of public procurement processes and legal frameworks in the EU would be a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with CRM or proposal automation tools is a plus.
  • Experience with lighting or control systems would be a plus.
