Job description
Overview

This position is pending Government Approval.

Purpose

Manage personal property transfers, establish/refine procedures for all phases of personal property management including receipt, control, disbursement, and sale of property, oversee warehouse operations, develop and implement an equipment management information system, and establish an inspection, maintenance and repair capability for stored or leased equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversees inventory of equipment owned and operated by Amentum, or leased to tenants, including the updating and maintenance of inventory databases.
  • Manages warehousing functions including receipt, storage, and disbursement of property.
  • Arranges for alterations to, or maintenance, upkeep, or reconditioning of possessed personal property.
  • Develops and enforces lessee's agreements for maintenance and upkeep of leased equipment.
  • Purchases supplies and equipment for use on leased properties.
  • Advises clients relative to financing, purchasing, or selling of personal property.
  • Directs sale of personal property when determined excess to needs.
  • Prepares periodic inventories of building contents and property condition, and forwards listing to owner for review.
  • Ensures strict compliance to safety practices and supports the Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Instills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.
  • Adheres to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of Quality Management System.
  • Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration required.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years related experience in inventory and warehouse management required. May consider combination of degree and work experience.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word and database management software.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Operation of forklift is incidental to the job and training can be provided.
  • Employee must be willing to train to operate equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years of related supervisory experience preferred.
  • International driver’s license prior to deployment preferred.
Certification, License & Clearance
  • Valid US Driver’s license required.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a CAC, if required.
Facility credentials/authorization required

Must be able to obtain and maintain facility and credential /authorization. Note- US Citizenship is required for facility credential/authorization at this work location.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands
  • Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
  • Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
  • When performing work, responsible for adhering to environmental, safety, and health standards related to the activity, including the wearing of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
