“Digitalization@VAN/O” is the strategic initiative for implementing digitalisation in the production of Mercedes-Benz Vans.

Together with specialist departments and IT, we design and manage the digitalisation of all areas of Mercedes-Benz Vans Operations (VAN/O). The focus is always on gaining efficiency and ensuring stable processes.

We manage the intelligent use of digitalised processes and tools, such as AI or collaborative robots, and maximise synergies with applications from Mercedes-Benz Cars.

Our task is to drive the implementation of efficient solutions and manage them to ensure swift and effective execution. Our upcoming model range VAN.xA is a particular focus.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for comprehensive sub-projects within Digitalization@VAN/O and ensure target achievement together with users.
• You are a driving force in developing VAN/O into a data-driven organisation. You see opportunities, inspire potential users, and design solutions with maximum value for users.
• Together with users and IT, you identify work processes that can be made more efficient through digitalisation. You provide input on how the process should be designed to suit digitalisation and take care of finding suitable solutions. You work closely with MPS. The focus is on efficiency gains through user benefits in daily work.
• You support product owners in designing products and ensure the overarching interaction and standardised implementation.
• Through consistent management and prioritisation of committee activities within your area of responsibility, in coordination with stakeholders in VAN/O and IT, you bring matters to quick and sustainable decision.
• You independently prepare decision templates and reports and present your successes to management.
• You are a fixed member of the relevant VAN/O committees and actively manage.
• We are one team: You are closely connected with your VAN and IT colleagues and maintain a top network with Passenger Cars. You coordinate closely to ensure optimum collaboration and mutual learning.
• If something does not run optimally, you support task forces as needed to find a joint solution quickly.
• Interdisciplinary project work shapes your daily work with interesting and varied challenges.

Qualifications

• Professional Qualifications: Completed (business) engineering degree, or degree in computer science or related fields, or comparable qualification with sound knowledge in project and process management
• Several years of experience in strategic and/or operational management of optimisation and strategy projects is an advantage
• IT affinity. You are familiar with and attracted to the way of thinking and working in IT.
• Enthusiasm for digitalisation applications, ideally with implementation experience.
• Implementation orientation. Ideally, cross-functional know-how of production processes.
• Ideally, competence in agile working methods
• Experience in strategic-conceptual environments
• Fluent English skills, German highly desirable
• Spanish skills are an advantage.

• You possess outstanding analytical and methodological skills to explain and present connections quickly and appropriately to the audience.
