Job summary

Muehlhan Wind Service, a leading international wind energy service provider, seeks a Project Controller to oversee financial, scheduling, and administrative control of projects. This role ensures delivery against budgets, timelines and performance baselines while maintaining cost governance and transparent reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage project budgets, actuals, forecasts and variances.
• Monitor progress, performance and hours against baselines; identify risks and actions.
• Prepare monthly forecasts, progress and risk reports for PM, OP and BUM.
• Support change management ensuring only approved scope, cost and schedule changes.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; re-forecast timelines as needed.
• Support client invoicing, contractor performance monitoring and end-of-project negotiations.

About the role

The Project Controller oversees the financial, scheduling, and administrative control of projects to ensure delivery against approved budgets, timelines, and performance baselines.

The role is responsible for monitoring costs, hours, forecasts, and project progress, preparing accurate financial and performance reports, and identifying risks and variances. Working closely with the Project Manager and key stakeholders, the Project Controller supports decision-making, change control, resource planning, and client reporting while maintaining transparency, compliance, and strong cost and schedule governance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

The role covers a number of key areas, including but not limited to the following:

• Maintain full ownership of project financials, including budgets, actuals, forecasts, and variances, ensuring accuracy and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.

• Monitor project progress, performance, and hours against approved baselines, identifying risks, variances, and required corrective actions.

• Prepare and deliver regular project reports, including monthly forecasts, performance updates and risk reports to the Project Manager, OP, and BUM.

• Control and support change management processes, ensuring only approved scope, cost, and schedule changes are implemented.

• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, integrating actual progress and man-hours and re-forecasting timelines where required.

• Support client invoicing, contractor performance monitoring, and end-of-project negotiations by ensuring financial alignment with purchase orders and approved claims.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Experience of project financial controlling, reporting, and budget accounting
