Product Specialist supports products by enabling users and ensuring successful adoption. Product Specialists will collaborate with Product Management, Development, and others within and outside of their Platform team, to ensure success of the Products.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • USER COMMUNITY: as a collaborator with the User Community, a Product Specialist will act as an advocate for users, helping the Development and Product Management team understand user perspectives and feedback and helping the users understand the work product that IT is creating for them. The Product Specialist will be expected to stay current on what is being developed and why it matters to end users. The Product Specialist should be knowledgeable about user groups and their product needs. This includes knowing the workflow, identifying any gaps and having insight into previously used products. As a part of the community, they should demo new functionality and collect insightful feedback that can be curated by the Product Management team, as well as document releases for the end user and other partners. A product Specialist should ensure user groups have access to products in the non-production environment to test and train as well as set a date/timeline to follow up and provide like access in the production environment. Product Specialist should assist user groups with setup of reference data, entitlements, product settings and testing (where needed). The Product Specialist will be the point person for support, providing documentation to support L2 partners to enable them as well as managing issues elevated to L3, coordinating with the development and data teams when needed.
  • PRODUCT SPECIALIST TEAM: as a collaborator with the Product Specialist team, a Product Specialist assists in ensuring that user communications, trainings, and support activities are a coordinated and efficient effort that creates a unified approach across the product and workflows. They will also be expected to work towards and maintain Product Specialist standards to ensure continuity of the team. A Product Specialist should maintain product pages, playbooks, and any other training and user-facing material to reflect new and enhanced functionality.
  • PRODUCT MANAGEMENT TEAM: as a collaborator with the Product Management team, a Product Specialist is expected to participate in the entire product development lifecycle, specifically wearing the lens of the end user(s). As the user-facing personnel for IT development, the Product Specialist should understand business needs and bring that perspective to the product management/development effort. The Product Specialist will be the user’s contact for support before, during and after launch activities. During this time the Product Specialist will act as a liaison for communication between the user and Development team until issues are deemed resolved by both parties.
  • PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT TEAM: as a collaborator of the Product Development team, a Product Specialist will be expected to attend regular stand ups, sprint planning, workshops and other required ceremonies. They will be expected to investigate and work with users to provide clear assessments of user-reported issues and identity cases that require development intervention.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills (people-centric),
  • Proven experience in customer-facing roles,
  • Understanding of Agile work model and processes,
  • Excellent command in English (C1 level),
  • Strong conceptual, analytical and quantitative skills as well as priority management,
  • Teaching - excellent knowledge transfer and presentation (in one-to-one and one-to-many modes) skills,
  • Ability to establish successful work relationships with people from a variety of different cultures and backgrounds.
