Job summary

Seargin in Katowice, Poland, seeks a Security Test Engineer to perform functional security and penetration testing on sensors, safety devices, and software across hardware, firmware, and industrial domains.

You will cover Firmware & Protocol Testing, vulnerability documentation, collaboration with developers and security engineers, test automation, vulnerability assessment, and threat analysis while following planning processes. This is a B2B contract with international project exposure.

Qualifications

• Experience with hardware and firmware security testing, including penetration testing.
• Strong knowledge of networking and communication protocols (TCP/IP, Ethernet).
• Ability to perform and support security testing across hardware, firmware, software, and industrial technologies.
• Ability to gain and maintain stakeholder and decision-maker support to achieve product security and quality goals.
• Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, attack methods, and security concepts.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures covering business conduct, ethics, conflicts of interest, and required security training.
• Ability to work within established processes, participate in planning activities, and prioritize assignments effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional security and penetration testing on sensors, safety devices, industrial components, and software
• Firmware & Protocol Testing: test firmware, industrial communication protocols, Windows-based software, embedded interfaces, and wireless tech
• Vulnerability Documentation: document test steps, findings, and reproducibility details
• Security Collaboration: work with developers and product security engineers to improve security
• Test Automation: contribute to architecture, design, and implementation of security test automation
• Vulnerability Assessment: perform product vulnerability assessments and security research
• Threat Analysis: monitor attacks and assess impact on products
• Planning & Processes: participate in team planning and follow departmental processes
